This process is most suited for orders of over 50 garments, and the price is based on the numbers of colours in the design which is then printed onto the garments. Screen printing is ideal for printing large designs onto t-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies, etc.
With screen printing a separate ‘screen’ is required for each colour, and therefore the price increases for each additional colour of print. This is the main reason that screen printing is not so practical or economical for smaller quantities.
However, when larger quantities and large printed designs (for example on the back of a garment) are required then this is often the most practical and cost effective solution.
In addition of course a large bold design can have more visual impact, and as such screen printed t-shirts are often just the job for a promotional event or exhibition.
Most of the major brands, such as Fruit of the loom, Russell, Gildan, Kustom Kit, AWDIs, etc. offer many garments suitable for screen printing.
